In Accra, Ghana, there is a location for events called the Accra International Conference Centre. The Ghana Trade Fair Center and the National Theatre are additional locations, but the Conference Center is the most well-liked since it is larger and more accommodating than the National Theatre while also being smaller than the Ghana Trade Fair Center (which was built to host pan-African events).
It is close to several significant locations, including the Independence Arch, the Accra Sports Stadium, the Parliament of Ghana, and the Black Star Square. It is situated in Accra's Christiansborg neighborhood. The Ghanaian government has long recognized that attracting international business depends on having the necessary infrastructure. Consequently, the Accra International Conference Centre is significant.
The largest of the six conference rooms can accommodate 1,600 people. Two committee rooms can each hold 205 people and three meeting rooms (each accommodating approximately 50 delegates). Along with audio facilities for simultaneous translation in five languages, a press center keeps participants connected for both the transmission and reception of conference news.
For the Tenth Ministerial Meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement, the Accra International Conference Centre was constructed in 1991. Since then, it has played host to important conferences and summits organized by U.N. agencies like the Food and Agriculture Organization and the World Health Organization as well as regional agencies like ECOWAS.
