The bohemian, hipster Jabal al-Weibdeh neighborhood is one of Amman's oldest neighborhoods. It has swiftly become a must-see destination for both residents and tourists. It is teeming with various adorable eateries, paintings, and little boutiques. Jabal al-Weibdeh is a charming and hospitable city neighborhood home to many locals, expats, and tourists.

Geographically, Jabal al-Weibdeh is sandwiched between two different and significant portions of the city, heightening the area's allure and uniqueness. Many historical landmarks, buildings, and art galleries are on the slope of Jabal Amman. The oldest part of the city, Downtown Amman, also known as 'the Balad,' lies on the opposite side and dates back to the Neolithic era. It has quickly become as a tourist hotspot that both locals and visitors must visit. It is brimming with a variety of charming restaurants, artwork, and stores.

Many locals, expats, and visitors reside in the picturesque and pleasant city area of Jabal al-Weibdeh.

It is a thriving artistic haven with strong historical roots and a toe in both the past and the future. All of these contradictory features of the surroundings impact the neighborhood of Jabal al-Weibdeh. The area seems to gentrify on its terms while maintaining its beautiful history, original architecture, and structural integrity.

The neighbourhood is especially lovely to wander through and explore on foot because it is a pleasant contrast to the noise and bustle of traffic found surrounding Amman.

A platform to unleash creativity:

Particularly in the historical areas of Jabal Al Weibdeh and Jabal Amman, where it can be seen among the rows of historic buildings, department stores, and even on shop shutters, street art has quickly developed into an integral component of Amman's identity. Graffiti tags and eye-catching paintings are all included. Numerous artistic creations provide important messages on important subjects, including environmentalism, women's rights, and coexistence.

A storehouse of art:

Through its galleries and public artwork, Jabal al-Weibdeh carries the cultural diversity of the region with tranquil simplicity and peace. Visit the National Gallery of Fine Arts to browse a fascinating collection of modern Middle Eastern and Islamic art. More than 2,000 works of art, including sculptures, photographs, prints, nonwovens, and pottery made by both up-and-coming and renowned artists from the Middle East, Africa, and Asia, are on display in the gallery. Over 200 exhibitions both locally and globally were successfully organised by the ultra-modern gallery. It also hosts a variety of events throughout the year, such as artisan fairs and musical concerts in the summer. After your tour is over, you should go upstairs to the Jungle Fever cafe for a cup of coffee and to peruse some of the art-related publications they have available.

The Lucid Corners:

Due to the area's very large concentration of Christians (and international expats), you'll notice a noticeably different mood from other parts of the city. The streets are quieter, many ladies are covered, and you can hear the odd sound of church bells. In addition, it has drawn writers, artists, offbeat cafés, independent stores, and a forward-thinking start-up industry with its shaded walks and beautiful stone structures. Lweibdeh is becoming more well-known, for good or ill.

Delve in the natural beauty:

The area's older structures and buildings have a certain elegance, but the relaxed, hip environment and youthful vibe it radiates show that it is constantly moving in a modern direction. Because of its relative safety and unique tranquility, Jabal al-Weibdeh is a particularly enjoyable place to wander around and explore on foot in contrast to the clamor and traffic of Amman. Jabal al-Weibdeh is an excellent place to spend a morning or an afternoon and offers a unique view of the Amman Citadel. It is also enjoyable and safe to come at night. Jabal al-Weibdeh neighborhood is a developing community that is expanding culturally. There may be numerous restaurants, cafes, stores, and old buildings. You get the chance to explore the neighborhood's rich artistic heritage and ongoing evolution.
